What is the Day of the Dead?

Day of the Dead, is a Mexican holiday celebrated throughout Mexico born of Mesoamerican tradition.  For centuries, this holiday based on All Souls Day, commemorates the deceased by building altars and ofrendas (offerings) with favorite items and significant possessions of those loved one's now passed.  This holiday is not one that focuses on death but rather the celebration of life!

Our Vision

Our vision is to have the streets of Talent, Oregon filled with runners of all ages to be a part of the Day of the Dead Race annual celebration. Our focus is to bring people to celebrate Latin culture, through food, music, dance and art. Your participation will help share our culture and bring communities together to promote understanding and unity.

Our Mission

We understand the positive impact that good health and wellness plays in our communities.  By providing opportunities like family fun run, 5k, and 10k races, and culturally diverse events.  We want to support and encourage the community.
